The plan link
The buy_url that get_quote returns: what it opens, what its parts mean, and why to hand it over unchanged.
get_quote returns a buy_url. It is the one thing an assistant hands to the traveler, and it opens the purchase of exactly one plan on getwigoo.com.
https://getwigoo.com/en/buy/jp?plan=JP_10_30&days=30&utm_source=mcp&utm_medium=agentWhat the page does
- Someone with no account lands on the destination page with the purchase sheet for that plan already open. They type an email, choose Continue without the code, and pay. See checkout without an account.
- Someone who is already signed in goes straight to payment for that plan.
- The link carries no price and no signature. The server calculates the amount when payment opens, so there is nothing in the URL to forge or to expire.
The parts
| Part | Example | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
/{language} | /en | Page language, and the language of the buttons. One of en, it, es, fr, de, pl, pt, tr |
/buy/{destination} | /buy/jp | The destination id from search_destinations: a country code like jp, or a region like eu-42 |
plan | JP_10_30 | The package to open the purchase for. Without it the page shows every plan |
days | 30 | The validity in days. It selects the duration of an unlimited day pass, where one package comes in several durations |
utm_source, utm_medium | mcp, agent | How Wigoo counts what assistants bring |
Do not build the link yourself. The plan value is a package id, which is not always the plan_id from
list_plans: an unlimited pass has a plan_id such as JP_2_Daily_1Mbps-3d, and a link with
plan=JP_2_Daily_1Mbps&days=3. get_quote knows the difference and returns the right link.
When the plan is gone
A plan that is no longer on sale does not break the link: the page opens on the destination with every plan, so an old link never leads nowhere. A destination page without a plan, such as https://getwigoo.com/en/buy/jp, is also fine to share.
Keep the tracking parameters
utm_source=mcp and utm_medium=agent are how Wigoo sees that assistants bring customers, and how it decides what to build next. The link works without them, but please keep them. Assistants sometimes drop utm_ parameters when they rewrite a link, because they look like tracking. If you do, keep plan and days: they are what makes the link open the right plan.
