Tool reference
The four read-only tools of the Wigoo MCP server, and the conventions they share: ids, currencies, languages and prices.
The server exposes four tools. Each one hands the next what it needs.
The order to call them
Find the destination
search_destinations returns destination ids such as jp or eu-42.
Read what it offers
get_destination summarizes data sizes, validity and networks. list_plans lists every plan, each with a plan_id.
Get the price and the link
get_quote takes a destination id and a plan id and returns the price and the buy_url.
Every tool is read-only, idempotent and closed-world: it never writes anything and never reaches outside Wigoo's own catalog. The server also announces this in each tool's annotations.
Conventions
Destination ids
A destination id is short and lowercase. Countries use their two-letter code (jp, it, us), regions use a code with a number (eu-42 for Europe). Always take the id from search_destinations, and pass it back unchanged. Ids are case-insensitive and surrounding spaces are ignored.
Plan ids
A plan id comes from list_plans (the plan_id field), for example JP_1_7 or JP_2_Daily_1Mbps-3d. Pass it to get_quote unchanged. It is not the same thing as the plan parameter of the plan link: use the buy_url that get_quote returns instead of building a link.
Currency
Prices come back in the currency you ask for with the currency parameter, as an ISO 4217 code. The code is case-insensitive. Wigoo can charge in 55 currencies:
| Americas | USD CAD MXN BRL ARS COP CLP PEN UYU DOP CRC GTQ |
| Europe | EUR GBP CHF SEK NOK DKK PLN CZK HUF RON TRY RSD UAH GEL ISK |
| Asia and Pacific | JPY KRW TWD HKD SGD INR IDR MYR PHP THB VND AUD NZD CNY KZT BDT PKR LKR |
| Middle East and Africa | AED SAR QAR ILS EGP MAD ZAR KES NGN MUR |
A code that is not in this list is not an error: the server answers in US dollars, so check the currency field of the price you get back. A value that is not three letters is rejected as invalid input.
Language
The language parameter sets the language of the buy_url and of region names. The supported values are en, it, es, fr, de, pl, pt and tr. A region tag such as pt-BR is read as pt, and anything unsupported falls back to en. Everything else in a response is in English on purpose: a model reads it and then speaks to the traveler in their own language.
Prices
Every price is an object:
{ "amount": 2.19, "currency": "EUR", "formatted": "€2.19" }amountis in major units (euros, not cents), with the decimals people write in that currency. Yen have none.formattedis ready to show, formatted for English readers.- It is the list price. The amount charged is calculated again by the server at checkout, in the traveler's currency, and is the same price the website shows.
Networks
Plans and destinations list the mobile networks the eSIM connects to, as strings such as NTT docomo (5G). A region can have dozens, so a list is cut after eight entries with a final and 46 more.
